Booking Procedure

Upon our receipt and acceptance of your booking, an E-mail or fax confirming the booking will be sent to you within seven (3) days. All details should be checked to insure all your arrangements and other requirements are correct. All Clients or Travel Agents will be deemed to have read, understood and accepted all Booking Conditions.

Method of Payment

All deposits and subsequent payments can be made by major credit card, (MasterCard, Visa, etc.) A 5% surcharge will be added for payments made with AmEx cards.

Deposit and Final Payment Requirements

A deposit of 25% of the total cost of all Escorted or Customized tours or “Blue Cruises” is required within seven (7) of your receipt of our booking confirmation. The balance is due no later than six (6) weeks prior to the start date of your tour. If booking is made within six (6) weeks of the start date, full payment will be required upon booking.

Note: Deposit requirements for Short Stay packages, hotel accommodations, and/or other a la carte arrangements will be advised.

Final payment is not received by the due date, the booking will be cancelled, and subject to forfeiture of deposit and a cancellation charge.

Changes

If changes are requested after your booking has been confirmed, we will do our best to accommodate the change(s); however, we cannot guarantee that the change(s) can made. There will be a 30 Euro, $35 USD, or $25 per change for each person in your party to cover administrative costs.

Cancellations

All cancellations must be writing by fax or certified mail. Your booking will be cancelled on the date we receive and acknowledge your written cancellation instructions. Cancellation charges will be assessed according to the number of days prior to your start date that we received notice, as follows:

Changes Made by Us

Should circumstances necessitate that we make a change in your tour or other arrangements, Crossroads Tours International reserves the right to make the change. Most changes are generally minor; however, we will inform you about the change(s) as soon as possible. Occasionally, a major change may be required. In that event, please notify us as soon as possible whether you accept the change(s). If you do not wish to accept a major change, you can either book another tour or other travel arrangements from us, or cancel your tour or travel arrangements, and receive a full refund.

Our Responsibility

Crossroads Travel International accepts responsibility for any death, badly injury or illnesses caused to you as a result of proven negligent acts and/or omissions on the part of our employees, agents, suppliers, and sub-contractors and their servants and/or agents while acting within the scope of, or in the course of, their employment. We also accept responsibilities for any damage caused to you as a result of any failure to perform, or improper performance of the service we have agreed to provide to you, except where such failure or performance of the services is due to:
a) The fault of any of our suppliers.
b) The failure being attributable to you or a member of your party.
c) The failure being attributable to a third party unconnected with the provision of the services to be provided to you and was unforeseeable or unavoidable.
d) The failure is due to force majeure (see note below).

Please Note: Crossroads Tours International will not be liable or responsible for any compensation in the event that the performance of our services is prevented by reasons, such as war, threat of war, riot, civil strike, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disasters, earthquakes, fire, flood, adverse weather conditions and other events beyond our control.

In Turkey will not be responsible for any refunds and/or any other cost incurred for refusing to accept or having to terminate the tour of any customer whose behavior is disruptive or deemed dangerous to other participants and/or our tour escorts, or who causes property damage.

Your Responsibilities

You must insure that you and the rest of the party have valid passports and appropriate visas, if required. You also should check if any vaccinations are required for your chosen destinations. If you are renting a car, please be sure your driver’s license is valid and complies with all local requirements.

You are responsible for informing before you book your holiday and travel arrangements if you have an existing medical problem or disability, which may require any special assistance. Most airlines require that women who will be pregnant for 28 weeks or more at the time of departure have a doctor’s certificate indicating they are fit to travel. Normally, permission to travel is refused after 32 weeks.

Hotel Ratings

Official hotel ratings are established by the relevant authorities in every country, and the criteria used for specific ratings (e.g. 3-Star, 4-Star, etc.) often varies from country to country. To assist those booking a la carte hotel accommodations, we have devised a rating system based upon the opinion of our managers and representatives in Turkey.

Please Note: Some hotels in Turkey have twin or double-bedded rooms large enough for a third bed to be added; however, most double-bedded rooms cannot accommodate an additional bed.

Child Discount Rate

Each child travelling with two accompanying adults will receive discounts on Turkey Tour products and the following rates will apply:

0 years to 5 years of age: Free of charge.

6 years to 12 years of age: Half of the full rate.

Children receive discounts on Gullet Cruises and the following rates will apply:
0-3 years: Free of charge

Children receive discounts on tours involving travel in Greece; however applicable discounts are dependent upon specific itinerary, and will be advised by Crossroads Tours international at time of booking.

Persons under 18 may book any of our tours only if they are travelling with a parent or legal guardian. There can be no exceptions to this policy.

Applicable discounts on any tour product will only be applied upon booking confirmation by Crossroads Tours International.
Special Requests

We will do our best to fulfill any special requests you may have; however, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to satisfy all of your requests.

Travel Insurance

Crossroads Tours International cannot be held responsible or liable for loss, damage or theft of personal luggage and belongings, nor can we be liable for personal injury, accident or illness. In most foreign countries, insurance coverage of personal injury, accident or illness is not available on the basis of U.S. Canada and the other European OR Asia pacific Country standards. That is why we strongly urge you to check with your insurance agent to make sure you are adequately covered for any eventualities. You can purchase additional insurance from either your insurance broker or your travel agent to cover luggage, personal effects and accident and health. We strongly recommend the purchase of “trip cancellation” insurance.

Cost of the Tour Does Not Include

International or domestic air transportation unless specifically stated otherwise, expenses of passport, visas, expenses in the home country, laundry, wines, liquor, mineral water, and all items of a personal nature; items not on set menus, expenses of guides, buses or cars for sight-seeing not included in the itinerary, excessive baggage charges, health, accident, baggage, and trip cancellation insurance; also tipping for room service and other personal services, gratuity to the tour manager, and other items not mentioned as being included. Cost of tour does not include airport and port taxes.
