ITINERARY
Day 1-Sunday Arrival
Meet and assist at International Athens Airport and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Athens
Day 2- Monday Athens to Olympia
Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel or near by spot and join a 4 days tour to Argolis, Olympia, Delphi and Kalambaka. You will leave by the Coastal Road to the Corinth Canal (short stop). Drive on and visit the Theatre of Epidaurus famous for its remarkable acoustics. Then proceed to the town of Nafplio (short stop), drive on to Mycenae and visit the Archaeological Site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. After the end of the tour in Mycenae you will depart to Olympia the Cradle of the Olympic Games. Dinner and overnight in Olympia.
Day 3- Tuesday Olypmia to Delphi
Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning visit the Archaeological Site with the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium and the Archaeological Museum. Then drive on through the plains of Eliad and Achaia until the magnificent bridge which is crossing the Corinthian Bay from Rion to Antirion. Pass by the picturesque towns of Nafpaktos (Lepanto) and Itea, arrive in Delphi. Overnight in Delphi (Dinner)
Day 4- Wednesday Delphi to Kalambaka via Meteora
Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning visit the Archaeological Site and theMuseum. Depart to Kalambaka, a small Town situated at the foot of the astonishing complex of Meteora, gigantic rocks. Overnight in Kalambaka (Dinner)
Day 5- Thursday Meteora to Athens
Breakfast in the hotel. Visit Meteora, among striking scenery, perched on top of huge rocks which seem to be suspended in midair, stand ageless Monasteries, where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine Art. Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae (photo stop at Leonidas
monument). Arrive in Athens early in the evening. Accommodation at hotel in Athens
Day 6 –Friday Athens Half day Acropolis tour
Breakfast in your hotel. In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel or near by spot and join a half-day guided tour of Athens, including also a guided visit of the Acropolis and the New Acropolis Museum. After the end of the tour transfer back to your hotel for a free afternoon. Overnight in Athens
Day 7- Saturday Departure
Breakfast in your hotel. Check out and transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
