Balkan Tour Package 4 Country Itinerary
Day 1 Depart from USA
Day 2 Arrival to Skopje
Upon arrival at Skopje airport, meeting with our representative and transfer to your hotel in Skopje.
If your arrival flight time is not later than 13:00, this day you will receive a complementary tour to Vodno mountain and visit to Millennium cross built on the top of the mountain. O/N in Skopje.
Day 3 Skopje, the capital of Macedonia
Pick up from your hotel and guided Skopje sightseeing tour with visit to the old and new part of the town and visit inside of the Memorial house of Mother Teresa. Afternoon drive towards the most famous Macedonian wine region – Tikvesh. Possibility to have a dinner and wine tasting at the local winery. O/N in Tikvesh area.
Day 4 Bitola, Prespa lake and Galichica NP
Departure after breakfast towards Bitola, with coffee stop in the city center. Passing Prespa lake and drive across Galichica NP, with spectacular views of both Prespa and Ohrid lakes. Upon arrival in Ohrid, accommodation and evening at leisure. O/N in Ohrid.
Day 5 Full day tour “Ohrid and Ohrid lake”
In a morning guided Ohrid walking tour with visit to the most important Ohrid sites. Time at leisure at Ohrid bazaar and afternoon drive to the south part of the lake and St Naum monastery. Unforgettable boat ride with row boats above the springs of Black Drim river. Back to Ohrid for O/N.
Day 6 Welcome to Albania
Border crossing and drive towards Berat, known as “the town of 1000 windows”. Visit to Berat castle and walk in the city center. Afternoon visit to Durres, the biggest Albanian port. Possibility to visit the remains of the Roman amphitheater. Upon arrival in Tirana, the Albanian capital a guided city tour will end this day. O/N in Tirana (B).
Day 7 Tirana, Kruje and welcome to Montenegro
In a morning drive to the mountain town Kruje, with guided visit to the Skanderbeg castle and museum. Afternoon drive towards Montenegro, with coffee stop at Shkodra, once capital of the Illyrian kingdom and possibility to visit Rozafa castle. Photo stop by the famous Sveti Stefan island. O/N in Budva (B).
Day 8 Cetinje and Boka Kotorska to Dubrovnik
Morning drive towards Cetinje, the former capital of Montenegro. Recommended to visit is the National museum, Relief museum. Afternoon drive along Boka Kotorska bay with visit to Kotor.
Late afternoon crossing Montenegro – Croatian border and drop off at your hotel in Dubrovnik.
