ITINERARY
Day 1 Depart from USA
Day 2 Departure from Athens to Meteora
Pick up from your hotel in Athens and departure towards Delfoi. Individual visit to the museum and the site. Afternoon departure towards Kalambaka, near Meteora monasteries for overnight.
Day 3 Greek mountains
Morning visit to two Meteora monasteries. Drive north to the picturesque village of Metsovo for coffee break. Afternoon at leisure in Ioanina, we recommend a boat ride to the island on Ioanina lake or simply to explore the old town of Ioanina and Ali Pasha fortress. Overnight in Ioanina (B)
Day 4 Welcome to Albania
Drive on the highway to Igoumenitsa. Crossing the border and arrival to the coastal city of Saranda and afternoon visit to Butrinti ancient site (guided tour). Overnight in Saranda (B)
Day 5 The Albanian coastline
Morning drive along the picturesque Albanian coastline, via city of Vlore to the biggest Albanian port Durres. coffee stop at Durres and continue to Albanian capital Tirana. Upon arrival in Tirana, a guided city tour will end this day. Overnight in Tirana (B).
Day 6 Welcome to Macedonia
After breakfast drive towards Macedonia. Border crossing and afternoon visit to St. Naum monastery and springs of Black Drim river. Unforgettable boat ride with row boats above the springs of Black Drim river. Overnight in Ohrid (B).
Day 7 From Ohrid to Tikvesh wine region
Guided Ohrid walking tour in a morning. Drive towards Bitola, with coffee stop in the city center. In the afternoon arrival to the most famous Macedonian wine region – Tikvesh. Possibility to have a dinner and wine tasting at the local winery. Overnight in Tikvesh area.
Day 8 Skopje, the capital of Macedonia
Morning departure to Skopje, the capital of Macedonia. Guided Skopje sightseeing tour with visit to the old and new part of the town and visit inside of the Memorial house of Mother Teresa. Drive to nearby mountain Vodno and with cable car to the highest peak of the mountain and so called Millennium Cross.

Day 9 Departure
Depending of the flight schedule private transfer to Skopje airport. End of the Greece Albania Macedonia Tour.
Optional possibility – This tour could be extended:
- till Belgrade, with visit to Belgarde and Novi Sad – 2 days extension
- till Dubrovnik, with visit to Sarajevo and Mostar – 5 days extension
NOTE: Pre or post tour accommodation could be offered on request.
